At General Electric,  I was responsible for the process that created our strategic plan.  I  had a team of people working on the strategic plan.   It included a small team that looked at electrici generation economics using every technology in 6 differnt regions of the world.   From their work,  I realized that the 1.3 Billion people in the world that live without electricity had little chance of getting electricity during my lifetime.  The infrastructure cost to deliver electrricity using the strategies in the USA,  Europe and China were just too expensive for use in developing countries where the income is low.   So after retiring from General Electric,  I founded Light the World.    It has an innovative, low cost solution to delivering electricy to the poorest people on our planet.  This is the presentation that we made to an IEEE conference that describes and economicly justifies our solution.
